Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Order Desk Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their needs and ensure an excellent experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. 

You can make up to $20/hr after your first year by meeting training milestones within the first year!*

Responsibilities (Inside sales and customer service with both homeowner and contractor clientele).

Customer Interaction & Customer Relationships:
  • Greet each customer with a smile.
  • Assist customers in making selections and provide support throughout their visit. Log customer selections into our (CRM) system.
  • Work at a register/order desk to ring up and carry out customer sales.
Communication:
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate party.
  • Monitor and reply to your work email in a timely manner, and answer online inquiries assigned to you.
  • Keep customers informed of any order updates.
  • Look up orders and answer customer questions regarding orders.
  • Develop and maintain great relationships with a customer base.
  • Handle client's requests and complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
You will learn how to:
  • Collect payments (cash, check, credit card) at the register/order desk.
  • Create orders and invoices based on customers' needs and work with the warehouse for pick-up. 
  • Create, modify, and track special orders and invoices.
  • Communicate and schedule orders for dispatch and deliveries.
  • Develop outdoor living and exterior home product knowledge.
  • Participate in sale initiatives and receive bonuses’ based on company goals.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • (1-2) years of relevant work experience in sales/customer service,  a Bachelors Degree is preferred but not required  
  • Enjoy or interest in Outdoor living and home design.
  • Diligent with both attendance and project completion.
  • Active participation in company events & meetings.
Skills
  • Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Computer literacy including Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong math skills and interest in learning estimating.
  • Excited about sales best practices and great customer service.
  • Strong follow-through skills to complete task and understand priorities.
  • Multitasking, priority setting, and time-management skills.
  • Flexible with changing and somethings challenging needs.
  • Identify with construction company customers to help the succeed.
  • Enjoy a team environment; Be collaborative learn and assist others.

Compensation: $17-18/hr upon hire. 

Growth opportunity: After a 45-day evaluation employee may then become eligible to rank up positions after 2 months of hire for a +/- $1-2 raise upon successful completion and show a complete understanding of additional job duties, attendance, attitude, requirements, and policy/procedure compliance. This raise will not go into effect till successful completion is achieved. (determined by management).
